Large randomised controlled trials with consistent treatment protocols will be essential. These studies can provide stronger evidence about whether high-dose vitamin C should be introduced into emergency and intensive care settings.

As trauma medicine continues to advance, treatments that target inflammation, oxidative stress, and organ protection may become increasingly important. Vitamin C represents a simple and biologically plausible therapy that deserves further investigation.
