The reason for that recall was different from the latest spoilage concern. The FDA reported that the earlier products had an issue involving package integrity.

The product was sold in Hawaii and contained ingredients including nonfat milk, sugar cane, cocoa processed with alkali, corn starch, carrageenan, salt, natural flavor, vitamin A palmitate, and vitamin D3.

The Meadow Gold recall began on October 14, 2025, before receiving a Class II classification from the FDA on November 28, 2025.

Meadow Gold's products are sold through retailers including Safeway, Walmart, and 7-Eleven Hawaii.
