The court also considered prolonged night work, another feature of airline employment that can affect workers' schedules and potentially their long term health.
Taken together, the three factors illustrate the complex working environment experienced by some previous generations of flight attendants.

Lawyers involved in the case believe the decision could make it easier for other aviation workers to bring occupational disease claims.
